Vor lauter Kraft kaum laufen können

Ich weiß ja nicht, ob jemand manch­mal die Fuß­zei­len in Pres­se­mit­tei­lun­gen liest. Ich tue es auch sel­ten. Meist fällt es nur auf, wenn sich etwas Gra­vie­ren­des ändert. In US-ame­ri­ka­ni­schen Unter­neh­men ist es näm­lich üblich, am Ende einer Pres­se­mit­tei­lung auch gleich auf das Unter­neh­mens­ziel¹ hin­zu­wei­sen. Dabei ist mir heu­te ein inter­es­san­te Ände­rung auf­ge­fal­len. Bis­lang lau­te­ten die abschlie­ßen­den Sät­ze in den Pres­se­mit­tei­lun­gen der Fir­ma Apple immer so:

Apple igni­ted the per­so­nal com­pu­ter revo­lu­ti­on in the 1970s with the Apple II and reinven­ted the per­so­nal com­pu­ter in the 1980s with the Mac­in­tosh. Apple is com­mit­ted to brin­ging the best per­so­nal com­pu­ting expe­ri­ence to stu­dents, edu­ca­tors, crea­ti­ve pro­fes­sio­nals and con­su­mers around the world through its inno­va­ti­ve hard­ware, soft­ware and Inter­net offe­rings.

Seit Kur­zem aber hat man die­se sehr geschichts­be­wuss­te („inven­ted“, „igni­ted“, „com­mit­ted“ – alles in der Ver­gan­gen­heits­form) Auf­tre­ten kom­plett geän­dert in ein vor Stolz und Selbst­be­wusst­sein strot­zen­des State­ment, das so klingt:

Apple designs Macs, the best per­so­nal com­pu­ters in the world, along with OS X, iLi­fe, iWork, and pro­fes­sio­nal soft­ware. Apple leads the digi­tal music revo­lu­ti­on with its iPods and iTu­nes online store. Apple is reinven­ting the mobi­le pho­ne with its revo­lu­tio­na­ry iPho­ne and App Store, and has recent­ly intro­du­ced its magi­cal iPad which is defi­ning the future of mobi­le media and com­pu­ting devices.

Hier ist jetzt kei­ne Rede mehr von Ver­gan­gen­heit („designs“, „leads“, is reinven­ting“). Da kann Jemand vor Kraft kaum lau­fen.
